3-Day Fruit Detoxification

coupes-fraisesWe all slip with our diets, it may have been one bad meal, it may have been a month of bad meals, but no need to fear the days of regret any further. This 3 day diet detox plan based entirely on eating fruits is a great way to lose those few extra pounds and speed up your metabolism. It not only cleanses, but also fortifies the body and will really spike up your energy levels.

The Fruit Flush Plan is easy to follow and consists of a pre-flush day, followed by two days of fruit flushing. In addition to fruit you are allowed protein shakes, water, vegetable, and a small portion of lean protein on the first day.

Pre-Detox Day

In the morning of your first day of following this plan, mix 32 ounces of water with 1 1/4 cup of egg white or whey protein powder. According to Mr. Robb it is very important to purchase a protein powder that is free of any sugars, artificial sugars, or artificial flavorings or colors. Protein powders can be purchased at health and nutrition stores, supermarkets and big box stores such as Target or Walmart. Protein powder can also be ordered online at health and nutrition websites including Jay Robb Enterprise.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m., drink a 6-ounce glass of the protein shake every two hours. This is followed by a large salad topped with 3 – 6 ounces of lean chicken, fish or turkey at 6:00 p.m.. The salad can be made of any vegetables of your choice, but it must include plenty of green leafy ones. You can have up to 6 cups of salad topped with the juice from ½ lemon and 1 – 2 tablespoons of olive or flaxseed oil.

One hour after each protein shake and your salad, drink an 8 – 12 ounce glass of water. You can have more water if you are thirsty throughout the day.

Day 1 – every two hours from 8 am to 4 pm

The first day is what we call the “pre-flush” and consists of drinking a protein drink :
1 and a quarter cup of protein powder
1 quart of water.

Around 6:00 in the evening

  • eat 3 to 6 cups of raw veggies
  • 3 to 6 cups of chicken, beef, fish or turkey
  • Garnish it with 1 to 2 ounces of olive/flaxseed oil or half of an avocado and the juice from half of a lemon.

An hour after you’ve consumed each protein drink or meal, drink 8-12 ounces of water.

Days two and three are the real detox – Every two hours from 8 am to 4 pm

  • eat servings of fresh fruit

At 6 pm

  • eat a salad consisting of raw vegetables
  • drink one protein drink (12 ounces of water and 5 tablespoons of protein powder)

That’s it! It doesn’t get much simpler and the results are amazing. You’ll lose weight, gain energy and improve regularity. It can even improve your skin tone! You should wait at least four days after completing the 3-day detox before starting it over again as this diet is very low in calories and is not very well-balanced. Be sure to drink the water as specified to avoid getting dehydrated during your detox program.
